Hey folks, today in this blog, I would like to share my travel experience to one of the most exquisite places of Himachal Pradesh named – The Jibhi.

After the covid-19 pandemic, my friends and I planned a trip to Jibhi because we all were tired of staying at home. We wanted to rejuvenate our minds, and we searched a lot about the places of Himachal Pradesh. So we all friends finally decided to go to Jibhi.

We were four friends and planned to meet at Chandigarh. We booked a cab from Chandigarh to Jibhi. We went to Jibhi through the Chandigarh-Manali highway. The highway route has the most beautiful scenic views along with river Beas and the enormous Himalayan range in the background. After travelling for approximately 8 hours, we reached our final destination. We all got astonished by seeing the beauty of Jibhi.

Jibhi is such a hidden treasure in the Banjar Valley of Himachal Pradesh. It is a lesser-known place to the outer world. Jibhi is a place that is full of greenery and encircled by eye-catching birds and flowers. The most challenging part of our trip was to find shelter for spending the night. We went to 3 to 4 places to stay, but the cottages were occupied. After wandering for 1 hour, we found a homestay named Shringi Vatika. Luckily, that homestay had 2 rooms spare. The price for 2 rooms was 2400. The rooms of the homestay were made of wood and were spic and span. We ate homemade food, and it was so scrumptious. The next morning, we all woke up at 8 A.m; and after having breakfast, we went to explore Jibhi.

Places to Visit in Jibhi, Himachal Pradesh

  • JIBHI WATERFALLS: It is located in the middle of the forest, and this waterfall falls from a height into a cement pool that is man-made. We took a lot of photographs there. There is also a tiny wooden bridge that links two banks of the water stream, which comes out from the mountains. It is an ideal place to relax and relish the beauty of nature. The scenery of the forest and Jibhi waterfalls looks alluring and peaceful.

  • SHRINGA RISHI TEMPLE: It is a religious temple located in the village named Bagi. It is a three-storied temple devoted to the “devta” of the Banjar valley – Rishi Shringa. This temple is considered very sacred by the natives.
  • SHESHNAG TEMPLE: Another beloved deity of the Banjar realm is Sheshnag Temple. This temple is situated at a very short distance from the Jibhi town. The route that leads to Sheshnag Temple is very impressive. The temple is located deep in the forest and in the center of a green meadow. The locals claim that this temple is more than 500 years old.
  • MINI THAILAND: Jibhi’s ‘Mini Thailand’ is the dream place for every nature lover. Actually, it is a rocky crystalline pool of water established along the path of the Tirthan river. This place has two giant boulders in the shape of a hut that makes it picturesque. Mini Thailand of Jibhi is a relatively unknown place, but it is one of the most beautiful places for a quiet morning.

The route to Mini Thailand is confusing, but don’t worry; I am here to guide you. One can reach this place only on foot, and it takes a short hike downwards from Jibhi valley. First, you need to walk towards the Jalori Pass for a hundred meters till you reach the forest guest house. From here, you need to start walking in the opposite direction downstream, and after some time, you will start to see pink/purple flowers and two distinct pipelines leading further downwards. You just need to follow these pipes, and after about 10 minutes, you’ll reach your hidden heaven.

Mini Thailand might seem a strange name for a place in Himachal Pradesh; however, there is a reason this is one of the charming places to visit in Jibhi. Our trip came to an end after exploring such beautiful places in Jibhi. I will never forget this trip as it brings all the good memories back whenever I see the photographs clicked during the trip. Moreover, this trip cost us around 25,000, including our food and stay of 2 days. It is a must-visit place for everyone who is a travel freak.
